Diagnostics

St. Luke’s Clinic is equipped with everything necessary to conduct any studies for diagnosing musculoskeletal diseases.

  • Radiography allows for the detection of bone fractures, including those with complications (displacements, fragments, etc.). The doctor also prescribes this examination if they suspect arthrosis, arthritis, and other joint diseases.
  • Computed tomography (CT) — is a layered X-ray that provides data on the condition of bone structures and joint capsules.
  • Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) helps clarify the diagnosis if the doctor suspects hidden injuries, inflammation, or tumors.
  • Ultrasound examination (US) is used to examine joints and soft tissues, allowing for a detailed study of the features of the joint capsule structure.
  • Arthroscopy — a procedure that the doctor prescribes for the diagnosis and treatment of osteochondritis, arthrofibrosis, synovitis, and other diseases. An arthroscope is inserted into the joint cavity through a microscopic puncture.
  • Joint puncture allows for the determination of the content of protein, blood cells, pathogenic microorganisms, etc., in the fluid of the joint capsule. For its collection, the joint capsule is punctured with the thinnest needle.
  • Laboratory tests allow for the detection of inflammation in the body. The doctor prescribes them for elevated body temperature, suppuration, and joint swelling.
